Maths 2016 : Number line and decimals

On Tuesday the 1st of March, 
R9s group of Great Mathematician's were working on some really hard maths questions that nobody else in the class knew. 
There were 3 questions the group had to Answer. 
Here is one of the questions, try answer it.

    Wow! These are tricky questions. Is the answer for Question 3 7.5? Did you find it easier to work out when you swapped it around? That's a great strategy.
